Early afternoon, wind swept fun at the secret spot with Surf Sista Shasara.
Got up early hopin for some 4-6 foot fun at the local secret spot, but was dismayed to discover the buoys still reading over 7 feet! Took til 11 am for the swell to drop within the fun range.
Met Shasara at the spot and quickly discovered that the afternoon winds were already on it...generating mini-peaks unevenly distributed within the realm of stoke. Was able to dial in a nice little right-peak that bestowed some fun rides to both of us.
Unfortunately, we drew flies...after being in the water for 30 min, the spot grew from 2 to 6...a crowd for NORCAL standards.
Anyways, got in some good stoke-fueled moments before calling it and heading in.
All of the pics were taken at another secret spot further north along the coast, as I drove home.
6 is a crowd? Man, it seems like you guys always have surf up there. The second we hear that anything will be a hair over five feet, we go nuts. For you NorCalers, that's probably the average. Nice pics!
