No. 19

Surfed the usual spot by my lonesome in some seriously wind swept craziness that had me out for only 30 minutes before calling it due to the enormous set waves moving quickly through the sweet spot.

Before leaving the water, caught two great 8' lefts to ensure that the session was not a waste of time...I should have stayed out longer, as Surfer Steve showed up, as well as some others while I was packing up to leave.

Unfortunately, the others stayed away from the sweet spot, with the rare exception of when they drifted over next to it. 

On those occasions, they caught some nice rides that resulted in them having to do the “circuit” to get back outside…paddling back to shore, than walking back over to the insertion point and paddling back out.

Am hoping to get one more day of surfing before returning to the job...was supposed to have the entire week off, surfing SOCAL. 

But alas, the damn truck's maintenance needs sapped my vacation funds, leaving me with a shortened work week and a postponed SOCAL surf trip. Am looking at a mid to late July trip to SOCAL that WILL HAPPEN.

  1. let's ignore the saying :"July, a lie"... Looking forward sharing warm water (but crowded) waves in SoCal. Sorry you had to postpone your trip. weather is not great this week anyway...
