Softly she speaks with abandon
intruding upon the delirium of life
seeking inspiration and rumination to ease her strife
A shoulder to give and a heart to take
indecision with a smile returned
lingering and limping along
while whispers of hope are faked
Chickens and cowards to the plunge
never surrender the idyllic charms
of independent fascination
to a stranger in whom one finds a deliberate preoccupation
She creates drama where life teaches
fueling the distance between us
reaching out to help with interest deep
ignored and rejected is my keep
